  Treatment   Experiential Education
The adventure-based experiential education program is designed to support the traditional classroom setting. Classroom instruction is given on a particular topic which is then experienced in an outdoor setting. The object is to provide education in a fun manner. The curriculums used have been specifically developed to foster and promote the learning process.

The students are given the opportunity to explore themselves and their limits as well as their role in a team or group setting. The program promotes self-esteem, creativity, goal setting, and achievement while providing a safe alternative to high risk behavior. Teamwork, effective communication and listening skills, leadership, trust, respect for self and others, and decision-making sills are learned in the process.

Tri-Wil's experiential education program includes formal classroom instruction along with the Alpine Tower, hiking, first aid, orienteering, horsemanship, and low and high ropes courses. This program is centered around a Challenge by Choice Theory which allows students to set and meet their own goals while testing their abilities. As the students begin to experience physical success, they will recognize the seemingly impossible is quite often possible.
